It’s inevitable: you’re gonna f*ck up. It’s going to happen. You’re going to make mistakes in life, in your career, in relationships and, most definitely, in motherhood. Oh motherhood: yeah, in that category you’re gonna f*ck up real good.

Maybe you’ll forget to send cupcakes to daycare on your child’s birthday. Or maybe you’ll forget it’s an early dismissal day and leave your kids standing outside the school so long that eventually the office will call (three times!) to remind you that you’re supposed to be a responsible parent. Or maybe you’ll have to wrap an old hand towel around your toddler’s waist as a makeshift diaper when you realize you’ve run out of diapers… again.

Or maybe it’ll be some totally different f*ck up. But it’ll happen. And it’ll happen to you. And it’ll happen more than once.

Sometimes it’s big things and sometimes it’s little things. Just remember: it happens to all of us. We all f*ck up. How can we not??? Have you seen how much is on our plates? How much we’re trying to juggle every day?

It’s inevitable that eventually something will be dropped; something will crash to the ground. Maybe it will survive the fall with just a crack or maybe it will shatter into a million unfixable pieces. Just like us, f*ck ups come in all shapes and sizes.

And you know what? It’s okay to f*ck up once in awhile.

You know why? BECAUSE WE ALL DO IT.

We all f*ck up.

We try our hardest. We do our best. We give 110% every day. And some days, it’s just not enough. So cut yourself some slack on those days when things don’t go quite according to plan.

On this Mother’s Day (and every other day of the year for that matter!) I want you to remember that it’s okay to drop the ball once in awhile. It’s okay to not be perfect. It’s okay to f*ck up.

We all do it.

To err is human. To f*ck up? Well, that’s motherhood.

Happy Mother’s Day! ❤️
